BOLD -
- Fearless and daring; courageous.
- Requiring or exhibiting courage and bravery
- Not hesitating or fearful in the face of actual or possible danger or rebuff
When the Window of Opportunity (WoO) opens up – (I have mentioned these WoO a couple other times in my posts) How boldly do you take action? Are you hesitant? How do others see and react to your bold or timid actions?
According to Law 28 (R. Greene) “Boldness is not natural, either is timidy. It is an aquired habit, picked up out of a desire to avoid conflict.” Keep another thought of Greene’s in mind…”Boldness should never be the strategy behind all of your actions. It is a tactical instrument, to be used at the right moment.”
“Hesitation Creates Gaps, Boldness Obliterates Them. When you take time to think, to hem and haw, you create a gap that allows others time to think as well. Your timidity infects people with akward energy, elicts embarassment. Doubt springs up on all sides. Boldness destroys gaps. The swiftness of the move and the energy of the action leaves other no space to doubt or worry.”
How do I apply this to the serving of my clients and you to serving your clients?
If you have spent the majority of time understanding your clients needs and goals in the interview phase then boldly connect these goals to the solution! You are the professional, you know what is best – this is your profession and you have the experience. Make BOLD moves to the solution without hesitation. My hypothesis is your clients will thank you for it!
I am going to inject this post into my day today and try it on. You do the same, let me me know your results….
